Jakob Dylan releases second solo album, prepares for tour
After The Wallflowers ended their recording contract in 2005, fans everywhere wondered if the Wallflowers tickets would ever be available again. Not only do the Wallflowers continue to tour, but just after the end of the contract Jakob Dylan—lead singer for the Wallflowers—started a solo career.
After releasing his first album, “Seeing Things,” in 2008, Dylan toured extensively with his touring band The Gold Mountain Rebels, appearing everywhere from Bonnaroo to the Late Show With David Letterman.
Now, Dylan is gearing up to release his second solo album, “Women and Country,” on April 6. “I knew going into this record that I wanted to hear something full and vibrant.I wanted horns and fiddle, for it to be as big and beautiful sounding as it could with instrumentation. That changes the lyrics and tone of what you’re writing,” Dylan said.
Three days after the release of his second studio album, Dylan will begin touring with supporting act Three Legs featuring Neko Case and Kelly Hogan.
